Go to Mike Hackley with bbqguys.com and shopperschoice.com and today we are going to do a video on the new 2007 Model Summit Grill. This grill is actually a six burner grill but they are making them in all shapes and sizes. They make a full burner grill without a roach history, a full burner grill with a roach history, a six burner grill without a roach history, and a six burner grill with. Also, on the Summit Model, you do get a side burner with it and one of the other options that you have available; depending on which model you choose again, they just got it to where you can have it used it out on several different things is they have the options of smoker burner on.
So again, remember I had just come out and I said okay. I got a grill for everybody, so anyway we are going to go ahead and tear this thing apart and kind of show you the new features of the 2007 Weber Summit Grill. Weber signature, you have the aluminum sides on the lid with the stainless front.
The lid looks real good and the other thing that I want to point on this is, is their lighting systems. When you take it and close it, there is a switch on the inside and it causes the lights to go off and when you open, it the lights come on and this is during the day, you can actually just hit the switch here and turn it off so that it does not activate or the lid is open during the day; please do not run your batteries down.
Pretty cool little deal and actually they got a past history and nobody has a copy of this thing. Absolutely, the only guys out there that do have this, if ever you are going to go over here to the side burner, its got a single size burner and it got a lid that covers it if it is not in use. You know, it is made with the stainless steal that embrace all that. You know, it actually handles off fairly descent size pot and a heavy size pot is not going to crush on it.
A lot of power there, you can boil, you know, you can steam. You know, if you just you want to do your bean that is what you are going to do on this. So, it is a very versatile side burner, then watch you put the lid down here and you have, you know again, a standard Weber comes with a summit come with a 800 degree thermometer. The lid is very tall on this thing and as I mentioned before, if you want to get one of the ones with a rear rowtest burner they have the infrared near rowtest performed to that.
So then you have your warming rack it is a pretty good size, very long, the hole holds the grill, again just the greatest accessory for doing get over breads or just putting stuff up there to warm it.
So, we are going to get into the meat and the guts of this thing. Look at the size of this meat grills, I mean, they are just huge and they are all stainless steal. You will never ever have to replace these things. Turning to grill again, what Weber has done is they used their angled stainless steal plain flamers, you got one set of little burners and once that are opposite of the burner. Again the standard Weber is stainless steal coupler burner. I mean they had been using these things for a year and if it works, why change it?
This thing on the model you have six burners here, across here. So, you got a lot of cooking space on this particular good. Now once you know that, I do want to find out is the traditional it is the old traditional Weber, you got the aluminum sides, you got personally coded back and then the personally coded bottom and imagine they do that for easy cleaning.
We are going to go ahead and pull this lid and here we go open the doors. I mean, look at the handles on these doors, that is just really good looking handles on this thing. Solid doors when you open it up, you got again a traditional Weber style free tray as it works with no changes and that is what Weber is staying with.
So, slide this here and all the greases are drained down in here and then at the end of this is right here. And then, you can actually pull this out and change it if it is needed.
What you have here is the model standard weight gauge. You know, you see them all in all of the Weber’s because again it works. It lets you know how much gas you are going to be bottled, so the heavier the bottle it is actually going to show as cold. The lighter gets it is going to come down here and tell you when it is empty, it is not exact but it gets you an idea of how much gas you have in your barbeque. So again, they had been doing this for years it worked do not change it.
See guys, how the door shut there? I mean, it is just a great unit. It is that of cattle zone with watch that you can also have a grill in place or you can unlock it and the unit works.
Very easy with room, I actually have a six burners and this thing is natural. So, overall Weber has not changed a whole lot other than putting nicer curve appeal on his grill with some stainless front and again the rounded edges I mean that takes this to a side show that it is really just good looking. And then the stainless panel here.
