2011 Ford F150 EcoBoost This is Mike Levine from PickupTrucks.com and we’re here with our friends from USA today at Milan Dragway in Michigan to take a first look at two new Ford F150 pickups. What’s new about these trucks? Well, Ford is bringing back the V6 engine in a big way for its light duty trucks. The first engine is a 3.7-liter naturally aspirated 6. That rated at 302 horsepower and 278 pound-feet of torque. But the real news here is the premium 3.5 liter EcoBoost engine. It’s twin turbo and gasoline direct injection. It’s rated at 365 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. How well they’re going to perform? Well, let’s go ahead and take a look out on the drag strip. So we’ve just finished running the quarter mile of Milan with both of Fords brand new V6 engines for the 2011 F150. The results well the 3.5-liter EcoBoost clearly more powerful. It consistently runs in the mid 14th second range to upper 14. The 3.7-liter naturally aspirated V6 it was in the mid 15’s consistently.
