We are talking about how to stay fit, and the topic for this video is winning nutrition strategies.
The reason why I am recording this video is because I just finished putting a new E-book on my site on vitalcoaching.com. It is available at vitalcoaching.com/stayfit.htm. I repeat, vitalcoaching.com/stayfit.htm, stay fit is just in one word.
What I want you to do in this video is to talk to you about the strategies that I covered this book. It is 30 pages—35 pages, I think and there is about 20 chapters I am covering or 20 topics that I am covering.
This is a power kick E-book, okay? It is not a manual. I am not going to go into the science of nutrition in detail, but I am going to give you a few strategies which tackle most of the key challenges that you might face when you are trying to eat more healthy.
So the chapters that I covered here are very direct strategies for very direct challenges. So what I am going to do now is simply cover some of the topics that I go through in this power kick E-book.
The first chapter is called the nature of the challenge. I already mentioned that in another fitness video and what I want to tell you is that right now, society, every single human being is being bombarded by dozens and dozens of marketing messages which push you to eat junk food. And when you want to get healthy, when you want stay fit, most of the times, what you are going to face is that you are going to need a battle plan to fight against this marketing brainwashing which is going on all the time.
If you let yourself grow and take in all these marketing messages, you end up eating very unhealthy. You end up going to a lot of fast food and eating junk all the time. Why? Because we are very receptive, we are truly receptive and we tend to take in certain things and believe that those marketing messages are all true.
Lots of their health claims that you have on packages have nothing to do with getting you more healthy, right? The banana does not have a health claim even though it is very healthy, right?
Have you ever seen an apple, a fresh apple with a health claim on it? It does not, okay? The reason why you have health claims is because you have big corporations which make tons and tons of profit out of feeding you with junk food.
This is how it works. This is the first chapter and a little later, I will talk about it and that is especially how to deal with it.
Another chapter is to buy the raw. Why is raw good? Why is it that you will benefit much more from eating more raw food? It is because when food is uncooked—fruits, vegetables—when they are uncooked, they maintain probably much more of their micro nutrients. When you heat a vegetable, you lose through this heating process probably 50% of its micronutrient content.
It means that you will need much more. You will need to eat much more to get the same kind of the same amount of micronutrients in your system, in your body.
So what happens when you eat more cooked food? You tend to eat much more simply because your body needs keeps calling for more vitamins.
So this is another topic I go in detail in this E-book. I talk about smart grocery shopping.
What about fish and meat? How to simplify your meals? This is a big one as well because when you want to eat more healthy, what you want as well is to make sure that you come up with a strategy which is easy to apply. You want to have meals which are very easy to prepare.
The idea of three months target, combining fitness and diet of course, it is very important to focus on both your diet and fitness or training routine that really works.
