4 Questions of Pesah in Yiddish

I am Marvell Ginsburg. I lead a Yiddish group at Ezra-Habonim Niles Township Jewish Congregation in Skokie. I love Yiddish. I thought I would like to share it with you. I would sing them in Yiddish and an immediate English translation.

(Singing) Daddy I will ask you the four questions.

(Singing) All nights of the holy year we eat bread and matzo but on the night of Pesach, we eat only matzo.

(Singing) All nights of the whole year we eat all kinds of vegetables but the ha-laila, the night from Pesach, we only eat bitter vegetables maror

(Singing) All nights of the whole year we do not dunk in even once but the night from Pesach we dunk twice. One time an onion in salt water and the second time haraine in charosets

(Singing) All the nights of the holy year, we can sit up or reclining but on the night of Pesach, we sit, reclining.
