60 Second Style: Trail Blazer

As it turns out, prep schoolboys know a thing or two about fashion. The navy blazer is a natural chameleon and a versatile staple in virtually all parts of your wardrobe. My must-have for fall is actually a little boy's blazer. The portion of the little kid's blazer provides the same feeling as the crop jackets that have been on trend the past few seasons.

The Nautical/Regal feeling can be easily recreated by adding a few antique metals and pins. Adding a men's pocket square creates a modern and savvy office suit. I have also added my own homemade bow, which is my version of the bow-blouses that we have been seeing so much of.

Making your own taffeta bow is easy. All I have done here is taken a half yard of fabric, twisted it up, and tied it into a bow. Attaching a vintage bow is easy. Simply pin both ends onto the lapels of the blazer. It instantly will transform your office blazer into an adorable evening jacket.
