Hi! This is Mike Callahan, Dr. File Finder and welcome to part six of our special butterscotch.com 10 part series on Ubuntu.
Now, on this segment, we’re going to look at email in Ubuntu. It comes with an excellent email program, Evolution Mail. It's full featured, very much like Outlook. And in fact for a long time, Evolution Mail was only available for Linux distributions but it became so popular among Windows users who use Evolution Mail that there is now a Windows version. It gives you everything you need to do with messages and folders, cleans out junk mail. You can apply filters, rename folders. Had a full suite of things where you can take memos, there is tasks, have contacts and calendars. Work week, week, months, a list, day and go to day-by-day on the calendar. And when you want to go back to mail, just click the mail tab Evolution Mail. Full of options, gives you lots of things. You can have search folders.
So, this is the mail that comes free with Ubuntu. You don’t even have to install it. It's already there. And there’s already an icon fro it up here in the task bar. So, this is Evolution Mail. It's in Ubuntu and that concludes part six.
