Guide to Getting Around Part 9 Gas Price
We have all seen the TV news story that cars that run on corn squeezings or potato peelings or my favorite fuel hydrogen. But they are in the mass production. You and I can not buy one. To me I find it on the foreign closet that I have to pay money to put this dangerous polluting crop in my car in order for me to get around. Now the way the oil companies charge with it, is the conspiracy on it self. I cannot talk about any specific price gas, because by the time you see this video, those prices might be just a dream of days gone by.
We all know how it works, watch the headline. You do pay attention to the news, don’t you? Each time there is an excuse, like there is a hurricane in the Caribbean or somebody coughs in the Middle East, the prices of fuel builds up and the cost of our gasoline goes right through the roof. After they have assured themselves of a record quarterly profit, the prices slowly creep down but they never quite get to where they used to be. We are happy, we get used to them and they are just waiting for the next opportunity to send them shooting back through the roof.
Do you think that is going to change, ever? Fines maybe levied, restraining orders maybe issued. People may even get indited and go to jail and we the consumers are still going to get going.
If you do not like the price of gas, if you do not like the kind of people we have to buy oil from, just do not buy them. Oh, one small problem, we do not have an alternative. Why did not somebody think of this before?
When I was a little kid, we celebrated the first Earth day it was not a day off from school, instead it turned in to what was called a teach-in. That was where we were taught about pollution, about our need for non-polluting energy sources. About our need for mass transit systems, to solve the traffic mess that was going to be our future and these solutions are going to take about 20 years to implement.
Well if I learned how to do mass in those schools that would have been almost 20 years ago. What happened? Why we did not get the job don? Of course, the one thing the oil producers fear is that we will find an alternative and we will stop buying their products.
