Okay, this is another pointers video. This is an owner’s guide to the XBOX 360 featuring an XBOX 360, obviously.
In this video, we are going to tell you how to make sure you do not scratch your discs, how to make sure you will not overheat your console, and how to avoid the red ring of death. We do not have that though.
Alright, first the overheating problem. Now obviously as you see at the back there, it is one big power supply and obviously, it’s going to overheat very quickly and it helps to have—first of all, the XBOX is not supposed to be on a soft cover, like this, my sea grass here. It likes to be on a hard surface, I don’t know why. Or like this cabinet here, it has got glass.
You should have, like in this case, it has got open spaces—well, not this side. But this here tends to overheat very quickly because the power supply actually is connected to that side, so it helps if you have a fan there. It helps to have it blowing at the actual 360 itself.
The overheating problem I think can lead to red ring of death. I was trying to get it dark. It is so cute, look at it. Okay, that’s enough.
And now, speaking of the red ring of death, this is a way to prevent it. To stop the red ring of death, well there is actually no way to stop it. It can come at any minute. Obviously, you can find it by freezing but it is not sending off to Microsoft for a hundred pounds or dollars or whatever. There is a better way.
You just need three towels. You need to connect it to the—you need the console on with the red rings, of course. Put the towels over and leave it there for about 15 minutes to half an hour. And then what it will do is it will access more heat to the console and break whatever the problem is. I do no know but it has something to do with the online thing.
Now to stop scratching discs. It helps not to have it next to two consoles at once, like over here and they did not have a rule standing up. And with the 360, we are not able to tip thing over because the thing at the end, they are not very safe because once you to tip it over, it’s going to scratch the disc.
And it also helps to keep it in their boxes. Obviously if you put a disc on the surface, make sure that the cover of the disc is facing up because if you put it up like only bottom—the bottom face of the disc, it’s going to get scratched easy, and obviously that’s where it is contained all the data.
Let us turn on one of the controllers. This is a headset connected and this is a wireless controller. But here, they got like ports for the wire controller that came with the ones. Let us turn on one controller. You do it like this.
So there you go, there is my guide.
