Applications Included in Windows 7 -

Windows 7 is adding all kinds of new features to the Windows operating system. At the same time however, Microsoft has taken the time to update the interfaces of a couple of old standards, Wordpad and Paint. Both now sport the "ribbon" that was introduced in Office 2007. The ribbon gives both products a classy new interface and makes them easier to use.

A Guided Tour of Windows 7: Classy Included Applications

Hi, this is Mike Callahan, Dr. File Finder welcome to part three of our special butterscotch.com 10 part series on Windows 7. Now here on Windows 7, poking around I found a number of things that are exciting and are to me very positive changes in Windows 7 from Windows Vista. And one that was kind of interesting to me is a face lift for an old standby Word Pad, you can see Word Pad now has the ribbon like Office 2007 so if you’ve used Office 2007, you will be able to fit right in with the new version of Word Pad that’s in Windows 7. Because it gives you all of your fonts your settings, date, time, pictures and so on. Another one that I was particular please with is Paint. Which has been apart of Windows I think since Windows 3.1, I personally like this one because you can pick your brush shape. It can easily pick your color and you can draw something wonderful there. You can see I am not obviously an artist. But I though it was interesting that they took the time to add this new interphases to these old standbys like Paint and Word Pad. So Widows 7 is introducing lots of new features not only to the Operating System itself but some of the programs that have been a part of it for a long time and that concludes part three.
