Mike: One thing I love about technology is all the waste that it can be integrate into everyday objects. We got Guy Mcvey from my tech is it?
Guy: Yes!
Mike: And we are going to have a look at a lamp but this is not ordinary lamp definitely not. It has a speaker built in.
Guy: It has a speaker built into it and you would not know until you look at it, which is great because this is going to fit into your apartment your lifestyle without cluttering up with a bunch of speakers. So this is great for surround sound, you could put a couple of these behind your butter scot. Something else really cool which is what you alluded to which is wireless, so now what we do we have a lamp that integrate seamlessly into our lifestyle but we don’t have to run a bunch of wires. And most customers these days one great in there houses and apartments why not but they are willing to sacrifice the esthetic appeal. You know pt holes in their walls and why not. So this really answers that question.
Mike: This been great in a business environment as well like coffee shops and what have you and not having to run wires all over the place and it comes with the transmitter as well. You just hook that up to your system.
Guy: There are a couple of options. You can buy it just a lamp and plug it in locally or you can buy it with the transmitter. And I imagine that’s how most customers are going to want to use it. If you want to take this lamp and use it to its full potential, you have the wireless transmitter put it to the back of your stereo and place the lamp anywhere. Unlike what you said that doctors offices, dentist offices, restaurants you know they can move it around they can put it here. They put in there. They can experiment put it in a patio bring it in at night. So it’s a great sort of answer al for sound.
Mike: And how many could you actually hook up when you got a big space?
Guy: Any amount you want. This is the channel switch on the front here. You set it channel one, every lamp that you’ve got to set to channel one is going to be playing that music that you have coming off to that transmitter, so any amount that you want.
Mike: And so obviously, for channel you got have four different music sources going at the lamp.
Guy: That’s right, that’s right, so for example if you have a bunch of these in your home. One on your patio, two in your living room, and one in the bedroom during the day you might want to have them playing the local source. You know whatever is playing on the patio is different from living from the bedroom and at night if you want to switch them all to the same source. You click them all to one. They are all going to play the music off your stereo. So the switch is on there are to allow you to run multiple sources on multiple units, so have them all play the same things very flexible.
Mike: And how much are we looking at this as far as price or something like this?
Guy: For about 300 bucks yeah.
Mike: And it’s pretty reasonable you consider as a wireless.
Guy: Absolutely!
Mike: Half-decent speakers, can we play some music through this thing?
Guy: Sure thing! This is plugged into—
Mike: You got an iPod in your pocket.
Guy: Yes I do! Who doesn’t these days right? You can run a local source input on this from iPod.
Mike: It sounds pretty, pretty good.
Guy: It sounds good and if you want, more out of it because the amp in here probably starts pick out nicely. If you want to get more kick out of it, you plug a sub-wire for right into the base. Now you can get a full frequency sound off this lamp. So this thing can actually really rock.
Mike: With a name sound aware, come from?
Guy: Sound aware is a name that we had for a long time. We use to make back in the 70’s chandelier with lamps and what speaker is in it for like holes and what not. We resurrected that name recently because one of our engineers came with this idea and we said hey we already got the sound t our name. This is perfect, so sound aware names been with tech for a long time.
Mike: So chandelier sound;
Guy: Natural combination.
Mike: The geeks marketing was in there.
Guy: They put it all together.
Mike: And so you don’t want to show this part here and you basically just turn that to the back and you just got a normal looking lamp.
Guy: Set it leave it and enjoy the music.
Mike: Very cool, and these little guys sound can come on and off?
Guy: That’s right, that’s right, you can take this times off and if you want it more clean look you can add them if you want something a little more dress up, its still up to you as a customer.
Mike: And you could like hide this from your wife?
Guy: Absolutely!
Mike: because they will never know.
Guy: They would not even know. This is very high wife factor.
Mike: High Wi-Fi factor.
Guy: Absolutely, so this is going to integrate nice and easily without clutter wireless and what not, so I think this is going to be really popular.
