Hi, this is Mike Callahan, “Doctor File Finder” and welcome to your special Butterscotch.com five part series on the sneak peek at Google Voice.
Google Voice has been the talk all around the internet because of its exciting concept. Currently it’s available by invitation only and since we got an invitation we got to tell you just a little bit about it because Google Voice you pick a phone number base on your area code, your zip code, a search term you use, set that one number and then you associate your other phones with that number so you only have one number for people to call no more home phone, office phone, work phone, car phone, cell phone you have a phone number and you can determine how they all work. You have call screening. You can listen in as a message is being left. You can block calls from those people who are pesky. Do your SMS text messages.
Your voicemails are recorded but there are also transcribed in the text which is very cool so then you can read them or listen to them. You get notifications on your cell phone by email, text message, you can have personalized greetings and you can put groups together and each group can have each own greetings so I have friends family co-workers SAF board imported, Butterscotch, businesses and I can create a separate greeting for my family, for friends, for coworkers and so on.
So Google Voice is a step forward into the future where we have one number and if you move you don’t have to change your number you just have to change the phones that are associated with that number. So this is can be an interesting peek at Google Voice. Remember that this is a multiple part series and be sure to listen to all five parts.
