The City and County of San Fransisco is the fourth most popular city in California and the fourteenth most populous in the United States. It is located on the tip of the San Fransisco Peninsula and is the focal point of the San Fransisco Bay Area. It is renowned for its month long episodes of fog, steep rowing hills, and eclectic mix of Victorian and modern architecture, and its liberal culture.

At just 49 square miles, San Fransisco packs as much in to its tiny water bound areas as most cities three times its size. The city steepness makes for some wonderful panoramic view points. San Fransisco benefits from California's Mediterranean climate characterized by mild wet winters and warm dry summers. Generally, the best months weather wise are between mid-September and mid-November.

Famous hallmarks and landmarks include the Golden Gate bridge, Alcatraz Island, and Chinatown.
