You heard me talk about how Comcast is. Coming up with the usage caps right which is 250 gigabytes per month. You get it at one time slap on the wrist to go over that second time throughout the game for a year and you’re done. Well you know they're not the only ISP to come up with usage caps and just recently the country's largest ISP. Dell and AT&T, we used to re-loan there refer to as small bell when I was young.
Has now coming out they are experimenting with the usage caps right now and they're testing. Initially in Reno Nevada, but they expect to roll this out. Pretty, pretty quickly, and they're scheme is. Basically starting this month of November, they'll limit your downloads based on your download speeds, so if you have their slowest DSL service which is like 768 K. That's can limit you to 20 gigabytes of data per month. If you have a three megabyte plan then your cap is 60 gigabytes of data a month, and if you have their fastest t10 megabit connection then your cap is 150 gigabytes, so no matter how fast the data connection here with AT&T, boom their going to cap it at 150 gigabytes.
Now there’s only be an initially fly the new customers on the Reno area as their work to go online and track your downloads of your usage. They’re not the only ones who are doing this also you know as I mentioned Comcast, there's Time Warner and Fair Point Communications.
Everybody is looking to join in this freight with exception of arising instead of hold out and say this is not plan to limit downloads. Here's the deal, we've talked about this over and over again, and I also do the FKA show on satellite radio. We talked about Comcast look here’s the deal, companies like Comcast, Time Warner their real business being an ISP and enable for them to sell other products, mass movies are demand, cable television, telephone service all that. That’s where they want to make their money.
They really—It's just a vehicle to do that okay the ISP business is almost incidental. It’s they don't look at as a source to make money. And they really, really played fast and lose with the net neutrality. This is our hallway around all that okay.
It’s going to block companies like Netflix. Netflix now has stars available on demand with the Netflix you can stream movies to wireless devices to your television from Netflix for example. These are standard definition movies. You watch enough of them with cam or 18 disc you're going to hit that you’re going to need that. Imagine what happens when they try to start pushing high definition content over there. This is terrible it's about controlling usage today which is it, but it’s about crippling innovative companies and services that we as consumers want and pay for in the future.
Look, it's time to get your congressmen involved here folks like can't they have to start firing up those letter. Start complaining loud and clear, vote with your dollars. You’ve got the option to go too switched to Venison. You know you might want to consider that. Leaving their not looking out for your interest, they keep raising the rates higher, higher, higher and delivering last lesson for the money.
Make us a terrible thing is going on. People need to wake up. Demand from your congressmen and your senators that action is taken. That net neutrality isn’t forced if you’re going to be in the Internet service provider business and you’re selling people unlimited broadband that's what used to be unlimited.
