Hi welcome to the next episode of belly dancing on Body Rock TV. And this time, I’m trying to do infinity sign or figure 8 with my hips. Last time, I was doing a hip circle. So, I was practicing that and now, I’m trying to do the figure 8.
So first, you have to know how to twist your body or your hips. Twist your hips—just twist your hips like this and then you have to know how to slide to side and to side. Side to side, slide with your hips to the left and to the right. And once you’re able to do that, then you can combine these two moves and you can do the figure of 8. So you’re going to twist your body to one side and scoop with your hips, slide back, scoop, slide back, scoop.
So, this is just a basic idea how to do it. I’m not a professional belly dancer or anything. I’m just learning this move as well. But with—it’s quite tiring and consuming. So with a little bit of practicing, we’re going to be able to do a really nice smooth move with our hips and it’s going to look like the infinity sign. Just really sexy.
