Welcome to Academia Barilla, the ingredient of this month is table grape. Italy is a big producer of very good wines but also is a producer of table grape. Here we have 3 different varieties of table grapes; Sultana, white and red; Pans and Moscato that can also be used as a wine grape.
Table grapes is a very good snack for the morning or afternoon, but I suggest you to eat it at the end of the meal, on its own, or maybe with some cheese like Parmigiano or Pecorino. These varieties are different from each other. For example, Sultana has the thickest skin and is seedless, and is the one used to make golden raisin.
Pans has a thinner skin and it’s very rich in pulps so it’s really juicy. This is my favorite to have with Parmigiano.
Moscato has a smaller berries but it’s very sweet and it’s the same that we use to make the spark in dessert wine that is Moscato.
Table grapes is really good on its own but it’s also a very good ingredients if you want to make a roasted veal pork, in the preparation of rich salad with the baby spinach on walnuts; and of course in the preparation of the cells.
