The Discovery Africa crew stayed in a variety for what was considered good accommodations, beginning with the coffee plantation near Arusha, with private cabins, a nice pool, indoor and outdoor dinning. In Tarangire, Kikoti Lodge was a series of attached roofs, elevated cabins complete with wood fire and water heater, a lovely view off the front deck and a very pleasant main lodge building and dinning room.
For Ngorongoro and Lake Manyar, the plantation lodge, another coffee plantation was perhaps the most upscale stop, with beautifully kept grounds, a pool and lovely rooms.
