Acer Aspire One – Review
Hey there YouTube this is srvwannabe and I’m here tonight to bring you a review of the Acer Aspire One Netbook. There are already a lot of unboxing and first impressions here that I don’t feel to give a good enough review of the product. This is writing someone first gets the item and the very excited about it and they don’t tend to notice the faults in that and I’ve had my for about three months and I can give a very fair review, another line they are not a whole lot of problems with it. There are far more pros than cons but the cons do need to be addressed. I’m not going to over the ports with you, all the other videos go over those and so you don’t really need to see those again if you’re seriously going to consider and buying one of these you’ve already looked in to other literature and about specifications and features of it so I’m just going to give you my opinion and that’s it.
So, what right what we going to go about the box you can tell, at least I could tell of a good built quality. You can tell when you lift up a piece of electronics and you’re holding your hands the feeling of it and the way, you can tell if it’s quality and this is a quality product has a nice finish, a nice way is just overall nice.
So obviously this is the white one which is kind of pro white, which is very nice, I expected more of that artic way or something. Let me just get some on here ahead on standby. I’ll go right into one of the proms I have with this and it’s the screen, the screen itself has horrible, horrible problems with glare. It’s a strange like plastic type type thing, type screen that doesn’t quite reflect the light quite well enough. If your eyes are going straight to it, it will you have a horrible glare and from this reason using it by a window or outside in the sunlight is pretty difficult because the sun drowns out a lot of the detail in the screen. You just really can’t see anything. Another problem with the screen but I should say prom it’s just a look over the complain I have but I guess I ask for when I bought this then I it’s the size. I know what you’re saying you bought the netbook it’s an 8.0 screen why are you complaining you knew you’re getting into.
I did but it just seems like some of the things are at sharpest they should like text, black text almost appears as gray on this screen rather than black as it should be and so when I’m typing a document and it’s really late at night or I’ve headache already and trying to squint and focus in on that gray text it is quite difficult but you can magnify in word and all those applications so I can’t really complain too much.
One of the positive things that I’m extra surprised about is the keyboard. I expect the keyboard to be a little bit more difficult to get used to than it was but it is obviously very easy to use. It’s something about five minutes to fully adopt the keyboard to build to use it quite efficiently, so I’m very happy about that.
The tripod is very sensitive compared to other laptops, I myself has never owned another laptop but I could tell that this was quite sensitive. It was really easy it used to one’ again now so I can complain that either. As you can see the left and right clicks around the either side of it rather than on the bottom that was to maximize the amount of size that the track head could have if this was on the bottom of the track head would be even smaller and would be former difficulty used.
As far as what this thinking handle I have the Windows XP version which has this version of the computer has a 120 gig hard drive and one gig of RAM as well as the Intel atom processor. This allows for a lot more than this netbook was meant for. This thing was meant for emails, flash animations anything to the internet. This thing can handle so much more. I typed documents on here while I’m on the internet, you know while I’m on Photoshop, while I’m iTunes, I can have five applications open at the same time doing all different things I access in different parts of the hard drive and using different parts of my memory and its still runs like a dream. There is, it’s perfect.
So here my final thoughts the laptop is an awesome investment if you have the money and you’re well on to spend out on this. Don’t however buy this thinking that you’re getting yourself a main computer. This should be your secondary computer. This is not the work coarse, it can handle that and it needs to be your secondary computer but other than that I have other than the screen, I have no complains about this. It gets 2 ½ hours of battery life just like a normal size laptop and it has to sell. You can upgrade to the six cell battery which is the normal size for a normal laptop and you’ll get six hours of battery life, that’s insane.
So yeah, that’s my review out of 10; I give a 9.5 the only subtraction from that score being the screen. So I hope you guys enjoy my review it’s my first one so please leave some comments and any complaints or tips for me and hopefully I can bring you more. I’ve got a lot more electronics stuff and I know that you guys are like so, just give me some tips. Have a good night.
