Leana: Hi! My name is Leana, and I came to Los Angeles from Ting in China one year ago. My question is, is acne kind of caused by some kind of allergies, and is any kind of vitamin will be helpful for it? Susan Rabizadeh: Leana, that's a good question. Unfortunately, there is no evidence that allergies cause acne, or that any vitamins would be helpful to treat acne. We do know that acne is caused by bacteria, excess oil production, and hormones. We treat those three factors with a variety of topical and oral medicines.
