Hi! This is software review from SoftwareSlant.com, today I’m reviewing a Chronis disc detector sweep, very cool application, it’s actually very cheap as well, and that you can use to partition your hard drive. Take free space from one partition, give it to a next one, and installed upgrading systems and all those tasks that I even edited disc. I have seen one to do and do it safely without losing any data. So what I did, I installed the Chronis disc destructive sweep on window seven on a virtual machine and as you can see that, I just try is now.
Now what I will try to do is I use the visor mode and I’ll take free space from my main partition and I give it to my new partition which I’m going to create. So what I want to do is I want to create a partition, now it is a task me where should the free space come from and I’ll select the end face partition which is my main partition which I have windows seven installed. Now it’s doing its thing and it ask me how big the partition I want to be and I’ll set it at one gig so I want it to be primary partition, meaning that I can boot another operating system off or anything else.
Now it ask me for files system I want to use and I’ll say I actually want to use fat 16 operating well file system and it will actually allow me to access those files from any operating system I would like on minor soft task. Now it asks me do I want to assign a letter to the new partition. You know when I’m going to the computer; to my computer I can see the list as a letter. I’ll sign T as protesting and I’ll call it this one. Now this is called the my hard disc and will be partition after I have finish this operation and this is the new partition that I’m just going to create digging new space from here. So I click finish and shows me the new logic of the disc coming to my operations now as well but if I’m okay with that, I just click on the commit button and I’ll go to proceed.
It actually says there reboot will be required and that is okay and because it will probably do it’s magic just before starting windows, and its rebooting now, shutting down windows and everything and it has to move back to refresh and fresh machine state. Windows is starting again and just before the windows starts, the program will actually do its magic and take to free space from the name partition to shrink it up and then give the new free space to my new position and format as the fat 16. Now as you can see it’s during the stinging text mode now and just before starting windows and well hopefully everything walks out and actually walks like that. So in operation two out of two creating the partition as its done that synchronizing with the operating system and rebooting again. So starting windows and hopefully when windows start we should see the new partition and in my computer and it should be accessible to use files and just to make sure it’s working and everything else will locate a text file.
And we will actually put it on to the new partition, so we can see tit works and that is it so then click. So windows start so that’s all. My password windows seven and its actually very easy to install than those seven, you can check out my video to review of how to do that. It’s pretty safe for, you can get it for free from Microsoft. So I go to computer now and here it is the long gigabyte test partition to screen it. I will create a bit like image on the right. We should actually edit it now, it takes some pressure as you see fancy, fancy paint program in windows vista and wow that is so cool. Now you want to save, yes and we will click on it. And yes it works so the partition is in there. Now let’s say I would like to move this partition to somewhere or rearrange the space and just let’s see if it allows me to do that.
I’ll run the program again and see how it does work. I’ll merge it, I’ll merge this to partitions in to one. So it asks me where I want to attach this partition. Ill attach it to my main partition, and now it asks me where to, place that. I’ll create a new folder and it’s called test merge and all the data from my partition that I should go in to that folder and the partition should be gone and all the files that run partition should not be deleted as they would be in my test merge folder. Let’s see if that works out and if the merge is completed I click commit, again reboot as quite, so I click on reboot and just let the program do its magic. So windows is starting up again and the program did its magic by now and its just finishing up with that and we’ll just go find and that none of the data in my test partition has been lost and that all has been move to the folder I created called the test merge folder. So the partitions gone now and just see if all the files went in to the test merge, okay they did.
But what it says now the file is there but it says I don’t have the correct permissions to open the file. So, let’s just go to properties and see what happens, security. I clicked on continue I’ll change the current owner to window seven. Now as you see the data has been moved but just some reasons I can’t access it because I’m not allowed full control. I’ll try to add myself from the window seven as the user name I’m using and I’ll just said that to take full control. So you might have to do the infusing the secure file system like window seven one, you might have to modify the permissions on the files. And you can actually do it on the whole folder and just copy the partition account. But as you see it is the same picture I made in the test, so all that actually really, really works and this time more cool things you can do with that software not just corrector suit.
Copy partitions with common partitions can actually build a beautiful media like a CD and then DVD or anything and then put it to your computer from there and you cover your partitions from there. If you have any problems and you can actually do much, much, much more than that and then you can use your mic if you want, put it to your cover or whatever you actually want and we will try another thing. We’ll try to convert but that’s all probably enough for today. And what you see is a great program, it doesn’t cost much, it’s easy to use. Well good luck, thank you for watching, this is another review from SoftwareSlant.com and I hope you enjoyed it, good luck.
