Now a couple of things to finish up this animation, we have got the text in place, we have got the logo in place, but remember as we scrub through this, I nod my head and I walk off screen. It would be kind of nice if the title and the text kind walked off screen as well just to give it a bit more of an effect.
What I am going to do is come back to where we see marker 8 here on the timeline. This is about 7 seconds 8 frames, does not have to be precise. And we are going to do is animate the position property of this layer and the position property of the mind the gap titles and then animate them going their separate ways.
And once again I will just increase the size of our timeline just by dragging up so we can see all of these layers and just twirl up anything that is currently open just to make it a bit easier to see. The two layers that we are going to work with are “featuring the text layer” at the top, and also “the mind the gap title” layer 10 which is down here.
So I am just going to hold the Command key or the Ctrl key on the PC, select that second layer and at this point I am going to hold down Option+Shift or Alt+Shift on the PC and hit the P key to add the position key frame to both of them. It is safe when you are twirling down the properties and adding those key frames.
Now what we are going to do, that should have recorded the position at this point in time. We will scroll the across to marker 9 here on the right hand side and now we will animate them separately going their own way. So make sure that they are deselected because if we drag one or the other, we are actually going to move them both in the same direction.
We are going to come back up now and select just the text layer here, and on screen we can simply pick it up start dragging it, remember to hold down that shift key and drag it all the way off the left hand side. Okay, easy enough. And we will do the same with the mind the gap titles. We can select it down here in the timeline, come on up to the composition window and just drag that off the right hand side.
Now, normally when we ease key frames, we ease them into the final key frame. But here the final key frame is off screen so it is actually going to be quite nice if instead of the text just starting static like it is and moving, we actually start the motion out slowly and it accelerates off screen.
Well that is just the opposite of the ease in key frame we have been using so far, so I am just going to select both of those start key frames. New keyboard shortcut for you shift and command, or shift and control on the PC and once again F9 will ease the motion out of those key frames. So they start a little bit slower and now slide off the right hand side of the screen.
Now once we reach this marker 9, the only thing we are left with is the original background that we started with. I am just going to twirl these up, once again give ourselves a little bit more room to see. What I will want to do now is fade this entire animation out to white over one second and that will complete this.
Well once again we can use a solid for this just like we did for the bottom part of our animation. Just go up to the layer menu, once again choose new and solid. This time we want it to be the size of our actual compositions so it fills the whole window. So just go ahead and click “make comp size”. If you have no idea what the size of the composition is that is the fast way to find out.
White solid two it is already the right color. Just go ahead and click okay that now appears at nine seconds. Once again we want to animate it fading up in opacity this time. so the T key will give us our opacity value. We can drag this all the way down to zero and make sure we apply a key frame for it. If we now move one second along in the timeline to ten seconds, we can now drag this all the way up to 100% and that nicely cleans up the entire clip.
So we can go ahead and turn off the action safe areas, we have used those to their full value. We can twirl up everything and deselect, and now create ourselves a final ramp preview of
