Now, I have taken care of the colors in the foreground rolling hill sot that they match the background. What about the detail?
Well, to fix the detail, I am going to go over to this tool right here, the Clone Stamp tool, and I am going to select it. And what this tool allows me to do is clone one portion of an image into a different portion of an image.
For example, what I am thinking of doing is cloning some of these trees over the roof of this house right here, or the bank, I guess it is a bank. And, I am going to specify which portion of the image I want to clone by sourcing the image, and I source the image by pressing the Alt key and clicking. On the Mac, that would be pressing the option key and clicking.
Do not worry too much about specifically what I am doing once again because we are going to look at all this stuff in rich, luxurious detail later on. And now, I am just kind of drag over this building.
Now, this is done kind of a quasi good job, sort of bad, sort of good.
So, the good news is I went ahead and covered up that offending roof. The bad news is, I have got sort of these soft gashes clouds of trees going, and I have clone the bad section of trees so that we have some sort of vegetation going away high into this background area; terrible job.
So if you end up doing a terrible job, just undo it and try again. And that is what I am going to do in this case. I am going to also change a few settings here. get a harder brush, maybe a little smaller, source from a different area by once again Alt clicking or option clicking on the Mac, and now I am going to drag in this area right here -- well, it looks pretty good actually. Covering up those details pretty nicely, maybe given another click here to fill in some of that tree detail, and that was a nice edit. Not only those it covered up that background stuff, but it is also looks credible.
I believe that these trees are actually supposed to exist here.
And from here on out, it is just a lot more the same. Just a lot more of using that clone stamp tool.
Now, I fast forward it in time a little bit here so that we have a finish result, and you can see how nicely these clone trees mingle in with the original trees.
Now, it turns out it is kind of a lot of work, took about 15 minutes to get here so that these trees where nicely integrated, lots and lots of clone stamp brush strokes.
