Advanced Twitter Tips - #7 - Using Twitter's Advanced Search
Welcome to the seventh episode in the Advanced Tips for Twitter Series.
In episodes six of the series, I introduced you to Twitter Search. I want to show you some of the advanced features that will help you find the exact content you’re searching for in people’s twits.
So you can be exact or loose with this as you like. You can choose to search for all of these words or an exact phrase. And even choose to extrude words. You can also choose to search what is hashtag.
A hashtag is a tag that some people use at the end of their twits to help group together their updates. For example, if I was twitting about what a great experience to have a traderjoes I would do something like this. Love all the cashiers at #traderjoes. This way, when people search for traderjoes here all those twits will be grouped together.
You can also search for topics from a specific person to specific person or referencing a specific person. You can add the location, at date range, and choose to search update setting to a positive or negative or ask me a question.
You can also look for updates that only include things and then choose how many results you want to show in per page. And here my results, so you can see if you’re really looking for a specific content that people may be talking about on Twitter and definitely check out search.twitter.com.
Remember, there are ten parts to this series so don’t forget to check out the other episodes in the Advanced Tips for Twitter Series.
