Okay. So here is a quick on how to trap cable using the over under method which will allow you to produce tangle free cords when they are unwound. Start with the jack facing you, there are different ways you can do this but the way is to start with the normal wrap and then take your hand and put it across the cord. Put the palm, fist and out and grab the cord. Bring it around, and up. What is happening is that the cable is actually being brought behind itself, for an ultimate wrapping. Then you do another normal wrapping and the under wrapping, over, under. You want to keep a series of loops and as you get in the-practice of this, you are going to get faster and faster.
Do not fight the cord, if it has got some memory into it. But just kind of wrap how it wants to go and just keeping going over under. When you are done the cord will unravel clean.
