Affects From the Line 6 PodXT I had a lot of questions about my gear so I thought I would show the PodXT by Line 6. I’ll show you how I use it, what I can do for you? This is the pod the picture of it here there’s an input jack here just for head phones so for recording videos like this I’m just playing I usually just use my computer speakers. You can change your app models or effects. There’s some basic editable buttons here your base, treble, mid, your drive and then if you want to get into more specific settings for the effects you can go into this area here. I prefer to use a software that comes with it called basically the editor so this button comes up, the screen comes up the pod is pretty amazing; it simulates and emulates various amp models that are out there today. So you’ve got this Britt J-800. You’ve got all this different amps that you can see here. You can also edit the cabinets so all sorts of different cabinets 4x12 2x12 as many because you can locate the microphone to the on access off access and you can move it around as well as far as the distance from the amp. There’s compression, your noise gate over here. Here’s a screamer. Here’s your chorus— and bright room. Basically let’s take a look at this one this is Surfing with the Alien. [Demonstration] That’s got a pretty cool effect there. If you want to go— for me I’m pretty lazy I just like to get patches off the internet I don’t play around too much with this stuff but if you go to Line 6.com under the custom tones. There’s a whole bunch of tones that have been uploaded by people so you can see Death Leopard, The Wall Intro, Surfing Satch that’s basically the one I just showed you Van Halen, Metallica. You can see that the settings change. I bought this metal pack which you can see here a metal shop which had some newer amp models. [Demonstration] There’s a tuner button I’ll show you here right there, there’s a tuner button we go back to the editor. I can hit this button. Now I can tune my guitar that’s the E string and the high E string. [Demonstration] So you can just edit it. Once I added the string once I change the pitch and I do some other strings I’ll go back and check some of the other ones. [Demonstration] Now the Podxt comes with a or you can also get a floor board controller which is going to basically change some patches on your floor board and also has got a volume in a wall pedal has got 1 pedal you can switch it back and forth between volume and all.
