Hi there my name is Dave from www.Video-Fx-Universe.Tk and today we are doing quite a big tutorial. Now as you see we have all our footage on the left here and if you come to the website you can actually download this tutorial in high definition mode. And you get all this footage plus the project file with it. Now what we need to do is set the first layer down so basically we got our background six sets of stars and then we add in our spaceship.
As you can see it is quite big. So you scale it right down. Go to Effects, Key in, Key light. Okay, get rid of the green, right, now we have got our ship on this background. Okay, we just going to move the ship slightly just animate it. So open up the transform properties, move it up here a little bit. Click on the position key frame. Move forward to about four seconds and move it down there, do not move it too much because it is not going to be in shot for to long. Okay, now we have to do is press F9 to change this key into an AZS so with this it would smoothly comes to a stop. But we are not going to see to come to a stop because we are actually going to destroy the whole ship before them.
Alright just close this up. Go back to our project files and here we add in our explosion so if we just get it here and add it in. Now we do not want that our explosion top just straight away so we are going to move it to about there. So obviously we see the ship moving and then boom. Now we got our last lichtig, press F4 to change the mode selections and hollow up the explosion and change it to Add. Alright, okay the explosion is pretty safe right for now. That is quite good because we can actually place the explosion in the right position over the ship.
Now what we need to do to fix this explosion is go to effect, sterilize, and glow. Now we are going to give the explosion a glow. Alright, glow threshold would be 69. Our glow radius will be 52 and our glow intensity will be 0.9, okay. Now this gives the explosion a bit more brightness and it also covers up quite a lot of the transparency and so just as it fades out here, we are going to duplicate this. I Control D to duplicate. I place the second explosion right where it starts to fade out. So we have two explosions here and what we want to do with the top layer is open up the transform and rotate it. So it is completely upside down. Okay just turn that would 180 and we are going to scale this write up which is going to go up a big explosion.
Alright, that is looking quite good. Now as you can see we have a problem. The ship still appears as the explosion fades out so what we need to do is when the ship is completely engulfed in the explosion, I will say about here. Nope, about there, that is good, that is good. Bring up our ship properties, bring it right back to here. So the ship ends at this last key frame here. So once the explosion fades out the ship is gone.
Alright, just close this properties down. Okay, now got our very good explosion. We now need to add a few effects to it. So what we want to do is press F4 again and turn the explosions into 3D layers. Alright, now we have done that, okay. Where you just light them and open up our—both of them. Open our power position and bring it out a little bit, not too much, only a little bit. I set close position down, alright. Now if we go back to our project files we have explosion debris.
