At part two of our series, we want to talk about calling to work study. So, when you are filling out the financial aid form, the passive form and they want to ask you a question. Are you used in college work study? You want to check of βYesβ.
For two reasons. Number one is good to have a little extra cash available at school while you are there, and number two, more importantly it is great to have on your resume before that first job interview after graduation that illustrates that you did something with your spare time while you are in college to give some evidence that you have a work.

Now, the type of work that you will get as a freshman will be a job on campus that will last for about ten hours a week. It will pay minimum wage typically and you will be working in such places as the schools bookstore or the cafeteria, some laboratory perhaps or the college library.
