That is because your brain produces a cocktail of happy neurotransmitters in response to the drug. You may garner great pleasure from touching things and feel extreme empathy with others. But ecstasy constricts blood vessels so you may overheat or become dehydrated while using it. Other physical side effects includes stomach cramps and blurred vision. You may also experience paranoia or confusion. As you come down from a high, you will likely feel lethargic and depressed. Excessive use may damage brain cells resulting in long-term problems concentrating or remembering.
