Hi! My name is Alica for watchmojo.com and today we will be taking a peak into the world of snowboarding.

Snowboarding gear has drastically changed to over the years, so I took you to unlimited snowboard shop in Canada to show you what is all about. The first snowboard available on the market was the sniffer. We were lucky enough to find one from the late 70’s; it had a strap for your front foot and a stamp pad for your back foot. With the name like sniffer, snowboarding was definitely influenced by surfing. Here’s a more recent model of those sniffer made by Burton, it was made of a little bit wider and has the same idea, it has cushier straps, feels a little bit more like surfing than snowboarding. If you’re planning on winning the gold in the half pipe, just like Sean White you might want to consider getting a freestyle board.
A freestyle board has a more centered stance and is design for riding in both directions. If riding the pipe isn't your thing and all you want to do is ride the powder in the back country you definitely want to get a Swallowdale. It’s unique shape, gives it a unique ride. Hey, if money is not an issue you definitely want to get a Burton Vapour, this is the top of the line board for 2007.
As you can see there are a lot of different boards on the market. Make sure you get the one that best suits your style of riding.
Next on the list, clothes, the right base layer is the key to keeping warm and happy. A good pair of impact shorts might look a little funny but there is definitely a good idea when you first start snowboarding. The finishing touch is for you to choose a pair of pants and a jacket that reflects your own style. So, whether you’re Sean White or Jeremy Jones don’t forget to wear your helmet. See you on the slopes.
