I am Steve Turano. Welcome to this episode the Body Performance.
Today I am going to talk about stabilizer muscles. Now, I know I am catch flack from any fitness expert out there then bring it on.
When I hear people talk about trainings stabilized muscles I want to puke. Here is why. They will tell somebody you have bad stabilizers. Then they will seat this personal ball or balance on one of the balance beam and give them weights and tell them try to lift this. We are going help going to strengthen your stabilizers. Well, the first thing I want to ask this fitness guru is “Hey big guy while I was walking down the streets or walking up the stairs, or riding the bicycles. Am I using my stabilizer muscles?” Or I would ask them this “Hey, if I could squat five or 600 pounds but it cannot walk across the balance beam or tight rope, does that mean my stabilizers are weak? And, what part is coordination have to do with this, I mean I maybe I am kind of pretty strong, I just do not have the coordination or the practice to walk across the balance beam.”
Do not listen to this people. Just go on your wave room. Work out, lift weights, do it safely and your stabilizers will be trained perfectly. Other than lifting weights and getting in the weight room, you do not have to worry about anything else. Stabilization will take care of itself.
Love your body. I will see next time.
