WIll the chance of solo patches stop at an earlier age or not?

Well I have gotton one bald patch before but i just got another one like a month ago i found out it could be alopecia and i've been scared ever since i read it i'm still not sure about symtoms but my brother and parents say that it has slight redness and i read it could be a ring worm could someone tellme is there a way to find out which is which on your own?
