Alpine Butterfly Knot

Welcome to a fishing knot instruction video from VideoFishingKnots.com. In this video, I will show how to tie an Alpine butterfly knot also known as an Alpine butterfly loop. This is a midline loop that you can tie anywhere in the line. You start out by wrapping the line around your right hand like this three times until you end up with sort of three pieces aligned here. Then you reach in and grab the middle one and you pull it out under the first one then you pass it over the remaining two like that. Then you reach in again and you grab it so you pass it under those two and now you are actually done you can let go of everything. Now you can pull the knot tight just by pulling the double stand and the loop and you end up with a nice midline loop in your line.
