Treatment usually focuses in redirecting the patient’s attention often by simplifying or allowing rest between stimulating events. Some common elements that doctor’s medicate for conclude; general blue moods and irritability which are treated with antidepressants like Prozac or Zoloft. Anxiety, restlessness and disrupted behavior which are treated with anxyolitics like Ativan and Serax. And hallucinations, aggression and uncooperativeness which are treated with antipsychotic medications like aripiprazole and Rispedral. Sleep aids maybe prescribe for Alzheimer’s patients who experience night terrors and we are not sleeping well. But even with the best treatment, medications and care Alzheimer’s disease progressive and will continue to worsen in time.
