I am Steve Turano. Welcome to this episode the body performance. Am I exercising too much? That is the common questions. Well the answer to this question, you have to look at two things. Am I exercising reflux and intensity and am I offering enough recovery for my body to recoup from those works out. So, it is going to be a function of intensity and recovery.
Now for parts to weight training you can do weight training everyday Yoga, Polaris, Light Weight Training very similar because is not that intense with almost be like manual labor and as long you can do it with tremendous intensity you would not need a whole lot of recovery. Now if you pick up the intensity of your weight training, you are going to need more recovery with tremendous weight training you need 48 to 72 hours of recovery before you train the muscle again. Now if you want train everyday you can do that, you just have to train different muscles. Chest on Monday, legs on Tuesday, back on Wednesday, shoulders on Thursday, and so on.
Now, with regards to cardio, cardio is a little different but it is still similar. If you want to walk in the treadmill an hour a day or an hour a day twice a day not that a big deal the more cardio you do, the more fat you will burn. Now, if you take that cardio, you start jogging on the treadmill. Your legs are going to be working a little bit more and you are taking more of the pounding, so it might be a little more difficult to do that 7 days a week or to do it for 2 hours a day.
Now, if you where jogging outside a mile of 2 or 3 a day you might to that everyday or might you those 7 days a week. Now if you start jogging 5, 6, and 7 miles a day now, again, your body is take more of pounding your using more energy, more calories so your body is going to need more recovery so you to have look at in terms how do you feel? How you doing after you doing all this cardio? Are you feeling worn out, are you feeling tired the next day you just do not have the same snap, so you have to look at how much recovery you are allowing your body? Are you sleeping enough? Are you eating enough Things that make you? So that is how you can determine whether you exercising too much. How do you feel and how is your recovery? Love your body.
