What makes a great handling car? Is it steering feel, Chassis performance, grip, or may be most difficult to answer, how does it feel? Well we're here to answer that today at Mazda RACEWAY LAGUNA SECA for the 2008 MOTOR TREND best handling car test. We've got 10 fabulous entries.
They include the AUDI R8, THE Nissan GT-R, the Dodge Viper ACR, the Ford Shelby GT 500 KR, the BMW M3, the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO MR, the Porsche 911 Turbo, the Chevrolet Cobalt SS, the Mazda RX 8 and the Mini Cooper S. We've got front drivers, rear drivers, four wheel drivers. and we've got engines in the front, the middle and at the rear.
Today we're going let professional racer Randy Pulps to get into each of these speed machines, to run some hot laps with data acquisition onboard, to get a ton of data burst or crunch through. Then we'll be following it up for several days with more instrumented testing. We'll go through all the numbers, and we'll try to pick the best handling car for 2008.
As you can see we've got some great machines here today so stay tuned. This is going to be a really exciting test.
