Robbie Ferguson: I want to look at Robbie’s favorites. Tonight, we’re going to be looking at XE.com. Christy you're saying that you did some currency conversion on the web?
Christy Burton: Yeah I just actually had to convert Pounds to Canadian currency and—
Robbie Ferguson: Any trouble finding out how to do that?
Christy Burton: Actually it was quite amazing, I went to Google and I just typed currency conversion and it was really fast and I was amazed because I haven’t done it before so—
Robbie Ferguson: Now see I just did that too, I just went over to Google just to see what you might have seen when you did it the other day. I typed in currency conversion and the first one that comes up is XE.com. So that may actually be where you ended up. You recognize that?
Christy Burton: It looks familiar.
Robbie Ferguson: There we go, okay, XE.com, this is so great. I'm going to actually go to the website as if I typed it in my browser rather than accessing it through Google. We talked about—a couple weeks ago, or maybe last week about Google, using it as a currency converter and being able to do different things with that and while it’s very, very handy, it’s not quite as accurate as XE.com as far as I understand it. XE is my choice for any time I need to do currency conversion and of course they also offer services like for example if you want to trade on the foreign exchange, if you want to use money as an investment, they will actually help you with that as well and they will help you to trade currencies between different currencies and it’s all on this one site.
So that’s very cool. Essentially it’s just straightforward, it’s free to use. So if we—absolutely any amount, what were you doing Christy, like you had to figure out how many—you probably had like—
Christy Burton: It wasn’t a lot at all, it was a Skype payment. It was like $4.62 or something.
Robbie Ferguson: So you see, like this is great, it’s got absolutely every currency and unlike Google where we have to know the abbreviates and things like that. Here, we can actually choose what we want to do so you know, sometimes I need to figure out, okay well how much is it going to be for me to get—where do we go here? Let’s say somebody sends in a payment for Switzerland Francs and I don’t know what a Switzerland Franc is. So then I choose my—from this currency, over in the left here, to this currency and you go up to Canadian Dollars. And so all I've done is entered 100 Switzerland Francs in Canadian Dollars, Go and instantly it gives me the—you know most accurate that it can, like this it tells us live rates as—
Christy Burton: Yeah because it changes all the time.
Robbie Ferguson: Yeah and it tells us the time that this was updated as well, so quite accurate and that will tell me that that is $107.45.
Christy Burton: Easy for me.
Robbie Ferguson: Yeah, that’s XE.com, fabulous service and again, free to use and that’s Robbie’s favorite for this week.
Christy Burton: Great!
