You know pet therapy, that really is such a thing, it really does feel great. I come out and I get to see how they evolve and how they get to see these wonderful trusting, loving animals and they will go into someone's life and make their life better. They make people's life better.
I was going to get it, we just once -- off a Broadway shows, we raised the most amount of money that any of the Broadway shows and we are feeling really good about ourselves. So we said, well what else can we do? What can we do now? And we said, how about animals? So I said, well, my friend loves animals, she should deal with us. So we got the whole Broadway community. Now it's their event, Broadway Bark.
They have not got enough room in their shelter. They have to use the dogs unless we get them out, and that's what the rescue team does. Dogs in shelters are wonderful. Dogs, they are adoptable dogs and there are a lot more dogs right now, because foreclosures. So you have a lot of family dogs that are in the shelter. They were somebody's pet. It's very, very unfortunate. That's why a rescue group is a great place to come that they know the dogs.
Today is a day you go home. Today is a day you will go home. This is ArchAngela whom we love so much. It's great story because I noticed her picture on the Internet. Her name was Missy then and she was lying down. And all the dogs usually stand there and I go, oh my God, why is this dog so sad? It's just so sad. And when I went to get dogs, I went-- that's Missy! Why rescue groups and why this story is so important, why rescue groups are so important. Here is a dog that she didn't know. God only knows what background was. She wasn't going around on the dogs, she wasn't comfortable. Now she is so socialized. She loves dogs, she loves cats and a place like this, in a rescue group they get to know the animal, they work with the animal, they get to feel secure. They get to feel love. They get to feel safe and they go to a home.
By the time they are going to go to a home, they are socialized and ready to go, and she has been here almost three years and now it's her turn. Baby girl, adopt a dog. They will add to your life. They just have that ability.
