An Introduction to World Art

Hi! I'm Cheri Lynn, and welcome to World Art 2. Join me as we learn about different cultures through their art.

In this DVD, I'm going to take you through eleven different projects step by step. You’ll find patterns. You’ll find printable instructions and even a shopping list to help you with your purchases. We’re going to be learning about the plains’ Indians, the Southwest Indians. We’ll do a medieval stained glass window project. We’ll go to Australia and do up papunya dot painting. We’ll travel to Mexico and do an Amate bark painting. We’ll go to Panama, some small islands off the coast of Panama and learn how to do a Mola.

We’ll go to where the Tibetan monks meditate and create Mandalas. We’ll make a tooling foil animal from Mexico. We’ll go up to the Woodland Indians and the Northeast Car in the United States and make false basements. We’re also going to travel to Africa and make a reliquary figure. And finally, we’ll be celebrating the Chinese New Year with a fun dragon.

So I hope that you will enjoy making these projects as much as I enjoy making them for you.
