Ankle Rehabilitation Exercises Part 1

Return to play after an ankle injury. Ankle sprains are common and we really need to work on strengthening the ankle to get back on the field quickly. There are a few things that we want to work on. The first part of an ankle strengthening program is to work on strength, lateral strength. What we want to do is give resistance to the ankle through the whole range of motion, have the athlete push out against resistance through the whole range of motion and we want to do 15 to 20 repetitions having the athlete go through the whole range of motion each and every time.
