Okay, welcome to part two. Now we are going to continue on into more detail about key words.
Okay, now Pam and I have seen in our research. A common technique being used is by the use of eBay Pulse and Google in getting the competition numbers to find out if there is a niche or a high demand.
Now it is a clever way but it is missing one important element and that is the use of a key word look up tool. Because otherwise you are kind of just guessing to see what is going on.
We have our problem here that is the difference between competition being out there and people actually looking for an item. Even thought there are a million stores out there where the competition is high, does not mean it actually people are looking for that to buy it, okay.
Alright, so let us just use this list here on the left hand side, the top 10 in the categories—this is not all categories, this are the most popular terms here on the left. These are all different types of categories where they click on too, okay.
So let us just use i-phone and let us find out what the competition is according to the way everybody else is doing it. Let us type in i-phone, okay. We come over here and we have a competition number of 19,900,000 which is huge. It is a big number, lots of competition out there.
So generally, from what we have understood being thought out there, that this would indicate that, that would be a good niche. And now we are going to show you why it might or might not be a good niche.
So we have indicators in eBay Pulse as it is looked for, i-phones looks for. We see that the competition numbers are high, 19,900.000, but we need to find out if this is actually going to work. So we need to use a key word look up tool.
We are going to use key word discovery here. There are nay tools out there, many free tools like this one out there. This is just one that we like. So let us go down to key word search box, we will type in i-phone and then come down to your super secret spy box here and it is key sensitive remember, so be aware to that. Okay, then press search.
Okay, i-phone has come up here as you can see. And it is at top-top of the list and it has 179,787 hits per month of organic traffic. Now, like we said earlier every keyword tool, I will have variations in this numbers, but they are all real close, very accurate and this will do it perfectly for what we are showing here today.
Okay, i-phones have it searches, go back over to Google, but we have a 19,900,000 competitions—that is not really a niche. Okay, so let us try and break this down into a niche a little bit. Okay we are back at the key word lookup tool. Now let us just see if we can narrow this down at a little bit in doing niche.
Okay, see all these top four or five up here that I have thousand or more. These are all people looking for information mainly. Not necessarily something to buy from you. So let us see if we can find some apparel accessories. We have i-phone cases right here. Okay, i-phone cases only gets to an organic traffic number 262 people per month. Let us see what the competition is.
Enter, see i-phone cases we have number of 65,000,000. So you can see just because that competition number is high and it might be an accessory or something that is high on another form or on eBay Pulse, does not necessarily mean that people are looking for it. As you can see here, there is a very few people looking for cases. Now let us give you a little bit better of example okay.
Okay one last video, please go on to video two-A now and after that video you will find all the links and everything that we have talked about in this video. Thank you.
