Jason: Hey everybody, Jason here from the McInTech community and tonight, I’m going to be doing an unboxing here.
This here is a case where my current clogged core is going to be put into. It is the Antec 900. You can get it at newegg.com for $119.00 and I had a chance to look at the case and even play with it and stuff before I actually got it in town and I like it so much that I’ve got it, so I’m going to be opening it up and showing a bit about it.
Okay, 900 user manual. Take a look at that. It’s thick. How much do you need to know about the case? I’m going to have to flip it upside down. I hit the ceiling. Okay, so here we are. This is the front with all the protection on it or no that’s the back. I’ll show you a bit about this case, show you the uniqueness of that. So, this is the front here, so I’m just going to adjust this so you guys can see better. Actually in the case, it’s got a nice grill at the front of it. You can see it here. Wow! That doesn’t happen too often, the phone doesn’t usually ring.
Okay, so right here. This is it. This is the front of it. It’s got a fan right here and the fan right there and you can actually adjust these as well. These plates will come out and it’s got a fan at the top if you can see in this grill here, and it’s got a fan in the back right here. This is down the case and the power supply goes into the bottom here so, you can use—there’s little holes right here as you can see. Those are for water cooling. I don’t have water cooling right now, but if you’ve got water cooling the tubes and stuff would fit in there but this is really neat. How it is like if you can feel, look at it, look at where the cards go, right here the PCI slots and stuff like ventilation. Here, our ventilation, awesome air flow and even these holes could be used for things other than just the water tubes and what not.
So, right here is the side. These all lights up. Right now, it’s got a piece of plastic over it. I’m just going to take the sides off here, so you’ve got the inside. So, you’ve got your clear see through and you’ve got room for another fan and it doesn’t come with it. It should though. So, anyways, this is the end side, I’ve got here. I’ll take these will be the accessories, the box, oh yes! They give you screws, a bracket here if you want to put a floppy end or a multi-card reader which I might take out of my other computer. It’s got the mounting brackets for it, but that’s what we’re going to find out when I’m going to put together, lots of screws that is totally essential. You know, how we launched the screw is good and more screws.
This here is a little rubber pad of thing and at the top it just sits in here and then you can use it for like putting stuff in the tray and the rubber pad goes there so I thought that is. Everything they turn on of the stuff is at the front. We’ve got power button, resets over here. You’ve got headphones, microphone jack, you’ve got a FireWire port and two USB ports, a really, really easy.
Now, right here. I don’t know if you can look. There’s a switch here or all of the fans will come with this unit have a switch and they allow you for low, medium, and high so you can actually set it each fan at its individual speed. Another thing that is cool about this case is it’s got basically tie downs, so you can tie down your cables. Like you can see, right here. Those cables are already tied down, so a nice way to have a nice neat inside of your case and of course, to take this apart well, that I’m going to learn soon. The screws at the sides we’ll take the screws out and what I can do here I don’t know if it’s probably the same on the other side. I want to take the front unit out here. I want to show how that fans work. And we have people in Ventrilo right now that if you guys want to talk—
Male: Hey, what’s up? Now, you’ve got a nice kiss they are my friends.
Jason: Next, so this is the other side with this coming off so you can see that and I’ll just basically twist screws for this and this is new to me, so I’m just learning as I’m going right now. I already know the basic essentials but how a piece tend to get part and stuff is still be on me at this point, so yeah. I think we’ll need another one yeah, another two to slide down here.
Male: So, Jason what was your main purpose for getting this case?
Jason: It was because everyone want to understand a better cooling, what should probably right for the current case I’m using. Actually if you can see it’s a stand right here. It’s an older case you know, so it’s good that I need a new one, and this will be—
Male: Yeah, you all don’t like to upgrade.
Jason: This will be good so when I do upgrades and what not I’ve basically already up to date, so when building a PC, you go piece by piece, that’s what I did. Alright, so you yeah, you take those screws out right here. This is the first slot, the fan and you can adjust this there’s another one at the bottom here the same as this. There’s even room for another fan in here if you want and yeah, that’s the fan. That’s one of the fans. Here is the speed control like I was just talking about a minute ago, low, medium and high. And you can put three drives in here one, two and three. You can see these slots and this sucks the air in, so it comes in this way flows out at the back.
Power supply will suck from the bottom part of the board and out of the back as well as this fan right here will suck it out and the fan if I can—that’s the fan that’s the top one. It begins to suck it out so it’s going to pull it out of the case. So, while the front sucks it into the case for air flow, the back ones and top ones will suck it out.
So, that’s the basic video. I’m going to do a review about it after I get everything in the new case and everything.
Female: I think all of the fans pull air in and in the top one pulls all the air out.
Jason: Well, yeah it goes in this way and in kind of like this and then like this and yeah, so this is great because you have the video cards usually it sits in this area. I know on my motherboard, so the air will suck in and it will just flow nicely, so it’s a great case, great for gaming. I’ll give you guys a review after I get it up and going in everything on how it sounds and what not and we’ll go for there.
