Male Speaker: So the salad first is Apple walnut salad, red apples, red delicious apples okay. Then I am going to use some celery some spring mixture right here, some gorgonzola cheese okay. Then we are going to create a, see this with simple ingredients, you can create anything you know, so I’ll show you right now.
Now I am going to create a simple, simple, simple vinaigrette, I’ll show you right now. So in first we take some spring mix, put in the bowl. Take some apples; I am just going to do it nice and thin, okay. Then you have a core in the middle, so I am just going go around that core not going to fuss with it. Then I use the whole apple because you don’t waste you know, so and then, so how I am cutting -- just to show you, I put my finger in like this, I close face put my thumb, so my thumbs not going to get cut because you don’t want to cut that thing off. So you just put your hand like this and then guide it with the knife see, I cannot cut anything, so you just practice that, you will get it promise.
I mean just cut, I cut nice strips and the strips that I am cutting that called Julie, its called Julian, I don’t know why its called Julian, but you know what I think may be a his girl name Julian she create it, I don’t know. If you have any questions you just can ask don’t hesitate, I’m not going yell at anybody. So I do with the apples stake them, have some sugars down here. I am just going to glaze with sugar, okay. I’m going to take little bit of those butter that I have, glaze it with that. Just give it a little, to just gives a little flavor I am going to add some salt. Salt and sugar the two, the two goes each other really well and sweet and salty at the same time. So add some pepper, then what I am going to do, take this pomegranate, and just what is this is pomegranate juice it’s reduced already in the bottle. So I buy like that, but that stuff is unbelievable. So now my apples are all ready for my salad.
Then we are going to create a dressing, and we’re ready to go. The dressing is going to be little of this pomegranate, some Lea & Perrins, okay I don’t say this is correct. So don’t yell me. But it the boost the sauce, Worcestershire I never said it right, I don’t know why. Then some balsamic vinegar, okay why I am not measuring any of these, is because I’ve been doing this for so long right, you can tell, I mean I can tell how much to each I am using, but if you going to make this dressing the correct way its going to be you just use, the same amount of balsamic vinegar and the pomegranate juice and then a couple of teaspoon of the Worcestershire and then you have it.
We are going to add little bit of honey, honey is always good right, we are going to do about the quarter of the cup of honey, then what I am going to do is actually, I usually use olive oil but I don’t want to use olive oil today because I want to try some different in a so I am going to add a little white wine and I am just going to whisk in there. I am just going to whisk it in there. A little bit. And the dressing that I use are very light, I don’t put a lot on it, you know when you go into stores usually -- restaurants you get salad that is drenched and kind of an and its like, yeah that was good dressing.
So I just put like you see this, very light, you know very, very light, its not heavy extreme light, okay, so I am going to do is, we just going to glaze it little bit okay. So I am going to plate this, take the couple of apples because I put some on top too, and then some carrots, some gorgonzola cheese and also I have top it with it too and you will see.
If you guys do cook at home, no, so by having fun, because I haven’t have fun I won’t do it, so its with everything go but you got to always have -- you got a fun and create like with me. I go to sleep I wake up with new recipe and its you know like some times you have to just try things, you know lot of people fail like to try anything, you can try anything, you never know what’s going to work with what and is just everything, like a lot of that’s things about food right now.
The restaurants everybody is using different things, now I am going to do is just top a little more gorgonzola cheese because that’s the best. Then we take some cherry tomatoes and then just slice them in half. I just do this for presentation purposes, now what I do is I take some my apples and just put it on the top like that. Very easy. Yeah very, very simple. Then make my plate nice and clean. I just put a little salt on top and then top with some dry tomatoes.
