And the big news last week was— Tiffany Young: The released of the iPhone 3gig G, sometime with four times faster then oh my gosh I have to have it. Ben Freedman: Did you say 3ge, the iPhone 3ge? Tiffany Young: 3g 3ge. Ben Freedman: That is the French version 3ge. Tiffany Young: Something sending is faster. Ben Freedman: You borrowed from the guy named Ge, hey want to buy an iPhone. Oh my goodness, you know I cannot say anything about the French because we have these viewers now that you know anything can we say about the French, or Indians, or you know, gay people. I get shut down as being something ophobic, whether it is Frenchophobic or Indianophobic. Tiffany Young: Something ophobic. Ben Freedman: Or xenophobic. Tiffany Young: You know what; it is really on get that mail. Maybe you know, maybe you are just a— Ben Freedman: I am not xenophobic. I hate all other people equally. You know was not like a one group that I hate more, except the Spanish. I hate the Spanish. No I am just kidding, like the Spanish yummy pizza. No wait that is Italians, anyway think about yourself, could you stop taking this up track like this. So, the new iPhone, we have here. This is the new iPhone and this is the old iPhone. The old iPhone, which I by the way paid $599.00 for a year ago and $199.00 for the new one and as you, can see they are very very similar. Tiffany Young: Identical. Ben Freedman: Not quite, because the new one is slightly thicker, first of all the new one has another white or black plastic pack. Tiffany Young: No new into that, is there a pricing difference? Ben Freedman: We said that was for reception. You get better reception with the plastic but also it complies to get cheaper, so therefore they can sell it for us. So you can see that this is the new one over here. You can take a look if I hold them next to each other. There you see there area slight difference in thickness but barely any. Some people have said that there is big difference between the screen qualities. Let me turn those screens on here and let me see if you can see a difference here in the, the clarity of the screen. Apparently the new one here on the right is supposedly like a yellower. Tiffany Young: Which one is supposed to be better? Ben Freedman: The one on the, this one not better but this one is a little yellower. What you think? Tiffany Young: Can you face here a little bit more. Ben Freedman: Yeah but then the people cannot see. Tiffany Young: Oh, as far as I can. Ben Freedman: Oh, I dropped it! Tiffany Young: I can’t really tell the difference. Ben Freedman: Yeah, that is pretty darn close. You know if I am looking them from above— Tiffany Young: There is more yellow icon on that one. Ben Freedman: And in fact, more icons in generals, one of the big feature of the new phone and although you can put this now they have done two things here. Ok they got the new hardware. Tiffany Young: Ok. Ben Freedman: So that is new piece of phone. What is this gets you? This gets you a 3g, which is means your internet is about two to three times faster. They set it four times but I see three to four times faster and you can use that internet now while you are in the phone, all phone, internet or voice, now, this way— Tiffany Young: Oh that is nice. Ben Freedman: A 3ge, built MGPS but it is not like turn by turn updates whether with 10 or 15 seconds. So you would not waste a turn if you’ve missed your turn. But it does tell you exactly where you are now much-much more precise. Oh I got e-mail. And slightly better speaker quality, a few different changes like the headphone jack, you can now use regular headphones rather than the special iPhone’s. Tiffany Young: Oh that is nice. Ben Freedman: It is nice. That is the hardware. The software difference is almost as big that is the iPhone 2.0 firmware and by the way you can put that on your old phone too. So this little bit I am talking about applies that even your old phone, which is the application store or the Aps-store you can now go, you see all these buttons on here. And for instance the thing here like movies amp, I mean let me click this here movies—this is an application that uses the GPS to find that where you are or you can find your own zip code ok? And I can go here and it will actually tell me about all the times in new movies here let me Tiffany Young: Oh and that is cool. Ben Freedman: Here is a little thing here again you can scroll up to the different movies show it to the nice people at home and go in there. What do you think? Does it feel different? Is a feel a bit fatter? Slightly thicker in your hand but is barely and it just a little. Tiffany Young: No, I like it, I mean it is I need this phones that in general we do what they say their going to do. Ben Freedman: The phones ever do what they say their going to do that. I mean… Tiffany Young: Just an awkward towards 75% as good, might you mind my studies or so through all these days. Ben Freedman: You know it is pretty much like a boyfriend. You got a boyfriend that does 75% of what they say their going to do. You’re in heaven. Tiffany Young: Yeah that is right, no worries there. I like that I love the GPS where it locates you. Ben Freedman: Yah, now the old phone even without the GPS would locate you base on a cell tower but only gets to about within a block. This one gets to like— Tiffany Young: Starbucks you can walk a block either way. Ben Freedman: That is right you could be wrong but if you want to know like a general location like what city am I in or what have you than the other will did pretty good. Cheaper, so therefore they can sell it for us. So— Tiffany Young: By the way, I just I found it last night I was on iTunes, instead of having DVD player this days I download pretty much everything to my iPod and plug it in to the 3 prong thingy and TV’s, you know that video? Ben Freedman: You can put your iPod yes I know exactly what are you talking about strangely enough. Tiffany Young: So you know out of DVDs I just do not use them anymore. I have downloaded three rentals only come to find out that only the iPhone or anything after and generation iPod. I pot all these rentals and Ben Freedman: I Have a 5G iPod you can use it if you want. Tiffany Young: No I have a 5G it does not download to the 5G. Ben Freedman: Well I have one that it will work with any once. Tiffany Young: Oh, that is problem solved, however I Google that first and said you know you can transfer rentals to iPod, and said yes until you wait the file print. Ben Freedman: On latest generation iPod. Tiffany Young: Latest generation so then I thought— Ben Freedman: Do you know? I have the opposite problem. Tiffany Young: I need the iPhone. Ben Freedman: There you go. Tiffany Young: There you go, just by it for another $199.00. Ben Freedman: Plus the two year contract. Tiffany Young: Do you want expensive movie but hey— Ben Freedman: The other thing encouraged you other way as well. I have an in dash car receiver on my car that I could put my iPod and watch videos from my iPod in the car. Tiffany Young: Is that your front dash? Ben Freedman: Yah, but in my passenger side, so it will fine but I bought the new iPod classic with a big 160-gig hard drive plug it in no videos. It is only the old ones that work with that dash the new ones well. Tiffany Young: That is so frustrating. Ben Freedman: So I have the opposite problem you need to buy the newest ones I need old, we should trade. Tiffany Young: That will be fine. Yah if I would you. I would love to trade it for a new one. Ben Freedman: Which it solved all the problems in the world? Tiffany Young: So but I do like this. I am actually thinking about switching I have an instinct pretending were going to about the shows coming up. Ben Freedman: Yah right next. Tiffany Young: So that one compared to this one you know we talked about that but I am almost thinking about switching to AT&T all together because of this so problems but the other one— Ben Freedman: So you know there still a few problems with this I know you have not even seen— Tiffany Young: Well he says that it works for the most part Ben Freedman: IT works from the most part but I— Tiffany Young: I think I had learned. You know. Ben Freedman: How would you a four out of five, it still the few problems there still no cut and paste on it. It still has a few quirky features, there has no stereo Bluetooth headset, you cannot use stereo boo headphones you have to plug earphones then. Tiffany Young: You can not use stereo? Ben Freedman: That is right used a single one for a headset and see does not have that. I know your instinct does. Yeah, so I give you the four out 5 still not perfect but definitely a step ahead and Tiffany was going to give it a 4 out of 5 only cause she is never seen it. What the heck is this thing? Is this the, we are talking on the phone and it is like oh! God, put you in the head as you try to answer a call. Tiffany Young: It is my slipper. I mean that the reason why they make this little things right here as for a little trinkets. You know you would not missing out you should have like the— Ben Freedman: Is it looks like for wrist straps, they could grasp it while you are— Tiffany Young: You can have like you know you need one too. I think everybody needs a trinket on their phone. Ben Freedman: Anyone needs a trinket on their phone. Tiffany Young: Well it just makes it individual not of the screen savers enough but it got to be in a more than that. Ben Freedman: I would say that it makes the phone incredibly gay looking but then when I get in trouble by the same people who can accuse me being a homophobic. Because you know Tiffany Young: Cause you so and quite frankly Ben Freedman: I am not sure even gay people would love this. Tiffany Young: Are you a phonophobic? Ben Freedman: A pink slipper on their phone. Tiffany Young: Will have that influenced you. Ben Freedman: Ok why slipper? Is there a meaning behind this? Tiffany Young: Reminds of Hawaii. You know, chill, relax I don not know why. I just like it. Ben Freedman: So Tiffany, how long have you had this phone? Tiffany Young: I have had this for about three weeks. Ben Freedman: Three weeks, and why that you tell the good viewers about your experiences with this phone over three weeks, did you wait for this phone? Tiffany Young: I am so excited for this to come out. Ben Freedman: You were waiting this for a long time. Tiffany Young: I am just going to see her very happy. Well yeah know this has been a very challenging situation. I was so excited. I was inline. I was like wasting for this one to come out. Wasted gas to go get It., anyway the e-mail is great I am going to tell you what is great about it. Form function is good. E-mail is great, great screen. Ben Freedman: By the way, I have a review but I do know that when you touched it, it vibrates. Tiffany Young: It does, it reminds of you a little wii, you know the wii’s more you that games that vibrate. Ben Freedman: The Nintendo, I know what you are talking about. Tiffany Young: That is it that is it, so great setting, great stereo headset. Ben Freedman: I cannot say anything, there is no joke I can tell you about—the wii vibrates when you touch it? Tiffany Young: The wii does. Is it the wii? It is the wii right? The one were you played the fishing game and the baseball. Ben Freedman: That is it. So when you hit the screen here is like a little thing and the goal is so you know you have pressed something and said. Tiffany Young: But I had rather being able to open some sort of the e-mail that I get is going to be business oriented and what they kept telling me is this it is an entertainment phone. If you get e-mail but you cannot open up media file or you cannot open a word document. Ben Freedman: So you see you can open a media Tiffany Young: I cannot open the media. I can not open anything on this. Ben Freedman: Are we saw did we saw something like a word document in the day did we manage to open it up for you? Tiffany Young: It was within the contact study e-mail above. It was on a separate download. See I still know what is the key operating system is not palm, it is not window, it is somewhere in between. In which knows operating for support which is very challenging so that is. Ben Freedman: By the way let me just show everyone here. This is a file storage area on the iPhone and here is a pricing schedule for another business in PDF format. You will notice how beautifully that opens and I am able to view a PDF file very easily. Tiffany Young: The window is not great. I can not download from, I mentioned the look outlook express contacts in but. Ben Freedman: Some video or photos or something, there is something on there video ok all photos or something. Tiffany Young: They have not, most of the time, I have got stuck trying to figure out how to get things on it and I have happened all the time spend hours and hour and hours and hours. Ben Freedman: How do you find to user in the face it is easy to use? Was it easy to learn? Tiffany Young: It is easy to use but it has so little function it can not help but knock you completely. Ben Freedman: I am so shocked here. You never knew this phone. I thought that this is going to be the iPhone killer. Tiffany Young: But you know it is great. Thus is far as the screen. Ben Freedman: It is smaller than the iPhone. Tiffany Young: Yeah it is smaller. Ben Freedman: How is the battery? Tiffany Young: Battery is great. Ben Freedman: Battery is great, more than a day. Tiffany Young: And actually comes in two. Ben Freedman: Cause you only going to get a day under iPhone. Tiffany Young: It comes with two. Ben Freedman: It comes with two iPhone does not have any interchangeable battery. Before you like slay me on well it is all about this versus the iPhone, yes it is all about this versus the iPhone. This is just the iPhone killer that Tiffany was waiting for from months to months. She would not buy an iPhone, like I am getting an iPhone. Tiffany Young: So, unless you know the only thing that I would do with this phone if I get at least open my e-mail attachments and get my calendar in there as well as my outlook. Ben Freedman: Ok, how do I put these delicately Tiffany, how much of our chances it that the reason you can cot open your e-mail attachments is because you do not know how. Tiffany Young: Oh, that is so funny. You know that is a fair question then, however, I did look up on Google to everything I could possibly think of to download and there just nothing available as of yet. Well for the price which is Ben Freedman: 129 much cheaper than the iPhone. Tiffany Young: 129 without three year agreement. Ben Freedman: 199 with a three year agreement so a two year agreements no matter what, it is like marriage you signed up for two years. Tiffany Young: And then if you want but I am just so disappointed. Because I was so excited about it and then disappointed Ben Freedman: The much like the Indiana Jones movie which I saw last night otherwise I am so excited about it not so great. Tiffany Young: Two out of four I am so disappointed as a matter of fact I am willing to cancel my contract and go with the iPhone. Ben Freedman: Two out of five and I going to give it two out of five just because. Tiffany Young: Oh wait I better give him a two out of five too. That is four out of ten. Ben Freedman: Just because it isn’t great, well it is two out of five for Tiff and two out of five for me it is four out of ten for the Sprint Samsung Instinct which is less than the eight out of ten that both collectively gave the new 3G I Phone. Tiffany Young: By the way if there is some sort of fix that I missed I will be more than happy to hear it.
