George Watts: Well I always like to arrive in style. I’m here with Jeff from VIP Bentley’s. Well thank you, sir, amazing, absolutely beautiful car. Thank you so much sir, for allowing me to arrive in style.
Jeff: You’re very welcome, you’re very welcome.
George: Now it’s absolutely incredible, modern, sort of an engineering masterpiece. Is that the right word?
Jeff: It is indeed. Yes they’re very unique, they’re handmade steel and chrome, and they are still very, very beautiful cars, and very expensive.
George: Very expensive is what we like. Now, I would say this is quite, there’s quite a special story behind this car, isn’t there?
Jeff: Yes, this is rather special car. Last year was Bentley’s 60th Anniversary of manufacturing crew and for their anniversary they brought out 60 cars, they called them they Diamond Series obviously for their diamond 60 anniversary, and 60 other cars were made and produced and this particular one was a Bentley that I managed to buy with a very, very low mileage directly from Bentley’s. So, it’s a very, there’s only two of this color. They made 19 colors for the 60 cars, and there are only two produced in this color.
George: So, only two of this type in the world?
Jeff: Absolutely, yes.
George: So, we’re talking mega bucks here, how much are we talking?
Jeff: Well, they’re not much dearer than an average Bentley; this is, in the region, 190 to 200,000.
George: Now are you finding that more people are going for, instead of more than the price arriving at church, because the classic, the vintage way, isn’t it best?
Jeff: I would suggest it depends really what you’re looking for. I think the market is very varied these days. I mean at one time, when I was a young man, it was black cars and usually funerals are the cars into weddings that we came. Then white cars also became popular. The problem with white cars, everyone expects a white car at weddings, therefore, there’s no “wow factor”. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a lovely white Bentley or very old car unless is very vintage or wholesome car. You know, there’s no “wow factor”. Lots of people are now going for more traditional colors that color coordinate with their theme. They look stunning and they give a different perspective to traveling to the church.
George: Yes, and particularly, I’m rather fond of the actual little touch in there, a glass of champagne.
Jeff: Absolutely.
George: Is that your special touch?
Jeff: Well I think most chauffer companies, most wedding cars do that. But we’ve got nice veneer tables in there, very expensive walnut, and it looks very nice with the table down and the champagne in there. We wait until the photographer finish outside the church and then on the way to the venue, the reception venue of course, they are able to drink a glass of champagne.
George: Very nice, a nice way to arrive in style.
Jeff: Absolutely, yes.
George: So, it’s an expensive piece of machinery. Is it expensive to hire?
Jeff: Our English wedding fixed price is 435 pounds. Which for considering the quality and the value of the car that is a reasonable price and it’s comparable with most other wedding cars in London.
George: Well, listen most importantly, where can people find out about you?
Jeff: We’ve got a website and you can find us out at www.vipbentleys.com or uk, very, very simple indeed.
George: Simple. Well, thank you so much, a perfect way to arrive at the show today.
Jeff: Thank you very much.
