More than any other playwright, Arthur Miller drew together strands of the American experience and whirled them into place that attended to make sense of the disfunction of more than lives.
Miller was born in 1915 to a comfortably wealthy New York Jewish family that lost its fortune during the great depression. His childhood homes in Brooklyn and Harlem became settings race place and his virtual memories of fast growing New York and its driven complex inhabitants founded way to his story lines.
Miller’s breakout work was the 1947 play All My Sons that the moral failings with father that affect your family. Before that this up with the death of the salesman as pessimistic as it’s documenting the disintegration of Willy Lennon’s pursuit of the American dream which won a Pulitzer Prize in 1948.
Salesman success gave Miller fame and fortune but this was threatened by the house committee on an American activity search for communists. Like many intellectuals, Miller had attended to communist meetings in the 1930s and new others who had done the same. Miller was forced to testify before the committee but unlike his friend the life is end, he refused to give information about any other people. His deep dissolutionment that indicated the forces that throw the hearings letting to write one of his greatest works The Crucible about 17th Century which trials in the Massachusetts town of Salem.
The contemporary parallels were not these. Miller’s profile increase greatly in 1956 when he left his first wife to marry Marilyn Monroe, there was the height of that fame. She invaded the Judeans before the marriage.
In his older biography turning dense, Miller wrote tenderly and compassionately about the fat style and the demons of insecurity and drug addiction that undermined the marriage.
They admired the child like Naivety and Perfect Beauty but despite of the fears that triple their film here and made her one of the most unreliable actors in Hollywood. Miller was also a frustrated at the Sinatra reporters you consistently depict in Monroe as the Quintets Angel down the Land.
At the height of the medial attention over their relationship, Miller was appended by the house committee and found guilty of intent for not naming people with communist ties. However the following year, the conviction was able to return and the ridge french in was on the way.

But the Johnny Houston Film was beset with problems not the least being the breakdown of Miller and Monroe’s marriage and Monroe’s struggle with addiction to barbiturate.
