Thanks for checking out FixMyRecipe.com. I’m Chef Billy Parisi and our new fix goes to Christina of Kansas City Missouri. This would probably be the most open fix I’ve ever had. It’s extremely broad. I like fish. I like it well done and I like it in restaurants.
Well, this pretty much tells me you like stocks to be really simple. Don’t worry; I have an awesome fix for you.
Christina, we’re going to start off with a really easy-to-cook fish, Tilapia. So, what we need to do first is cut it in half and then season it with salt and pepper. You said you wanted to make sure your fish is well done and we’re going to do exactly that. So in a super hot skillet, let’s add in our vegetable oil. Once it’s smoking, we’re going to go ahead and put in the fish. And to get this fish really brown, we’re going to put in a little bit of butter on the outside. You’re going to notice the oils are going to turn brown, that means that’s skin side down is going to be nice and golden brown. We’re going to flip it over, finish it in the oven for 5-7 minutes.
Oh yeah, these are perfectly done to your temperature, well-done. We’re going to go ahead and set this aside on a plate here. And once this is all put on there, we’re going to go ahead and add in some fresh slip of ginger and garlic. Just right to that pan, next some nice teardrop tomatoes and we’re going to go ahead and cook out the bite in that ginger and garlic. And we’re going to go ahead and deglaze with a little bit of soy that’s going to provide a lot of natural salts, fresh cilantro and voila! An awesome Asian style tilapia in only a few minutes.
Christina, it’s so good. Lots of flavor from that garlic and ginger and you know what? It only took but 10 minutes to cook this whole thing even if it’s well-done. Try this recipe. You’re going to love it.
Christina, once again, thank you so much for writing and I love cooking stuff like this. So, if you have any more recipe needs, please send them my way. Be sure to come back tomorrow and see our new featured fix of the day.
