Ask the Erabbi #8
Shalom! This is “Ask the rabbi edition eight”. First of all the question of verses and Jesus. As you can imagine because of the deeply believe in Christians, I keep getting question and emails and verses what does to show to Jesus as an actual Jesus and I have a lot of videos on this. Jews is not for Jesus one, two and three and basically I deal with you there and I do not think I should spend time with each of verse. And I answered the people individually, but we know that most of my base on translations from Hebrew to Greek to Latin to English and there are all kinds of mistakes when they translate that way. The bible never says Jesus anywhere. It has lot of other names that have God and they did not like Yehoshua and a lot of name with God. Never identifies Jesus, and there is a lot historical figures that are rabbis identify as much closure historically probably the text was refer to him too.
So, I do not want to be with individual verses. They are planning place on the website to do that if you have one you are curious about, I have the time, I will try and answer it. Then somebody said he is ready place to the bible where it says God is not a man. Now, there are some of places number 23, place in Josiah, the rest the several places (foreign language), God is not a man clearly stated. It never says that the Messiah could not come twice.
I think that is ridiculous logic, because it makes any sense and the Messiah is going to come twice, the bible would send it twice. The Bible says, this is the Messiah is going to come. So, how could you possibly state your religion on my view on the idea of the Messiah came on and he is coming again? Or he says come in three times, four times, five times just does not make any sense that you take the position logically. If you want to believe it is fun, but let us say logical in anyway and the bible certainly does not say that.
Okay, then the next question was about evangelicals. Now in kind to get a plead reconsider a evangelicals and see how positive the support if they are Jewish causes in Israel. And I am not sure why the person must watch my video on evangelicals in the Jews because I take to position. There is a lot of Jews and a lot of rabbis who stay away from evangelicals or nervous about evangelical Christians. They think they just wanted to convert us and there is probably a lot of them they do and just a lot of money that goes and just trying to prostities Jews which we think the bible clearly says, “It is a sin”.
But at the other hand, there is a lot of evangelicals who are very, as I explain in the video, have clear agenda of supporting Israel and have believe the verse and John, it says “Salvation of the Jews and see the Jews with regiment option then in case in this world want to work with us together in important courses like John Hegi, brilliant evangelical pastor and British for Peace and another organizations. So He is concern about that. I think there relations of the evangelicals very important and as long as there is clear that we expect that to be prostities. You will not try to prostities them. We do our work together.
Then get the question about a Kosha question told them about wine and cheese. And I think I answer it in Kosha 101, but just briefly here that the orthodox have the long issues about one. Based on reason the longer think are valid. What have to do with whether it was made by idolatries for like patient to idolatry? The other is the simple blinked for probation of drinking wine may either even touch by none Jews or even the bottle because it lead the social relations which shall lead into marriage.
So the conservative evident has I think a much more sensible position, since there are hardly in idolatry in the world today and we do not drink their wine. We drink any wine considered not question of closure. All wine is closure such a question whether it is made under a rabbinic supervision. Of course if there is biologic issue and there is blood thinners made from blood that use it in the wine. That is another issue, but very little wine has that. And so any wine this Kosher just the question for educational purposes, rabbinical assembly recommends for Shabbath holidays and when you have religious then you should use wine. It is made under rabbinic supervisions especially for Passover.
So, let us argue of wine. Now, cheese is also issue. That 4000 of years a piers Jews 810 out of cheese, there is not no problem. It is just kind of modern times if they have gotten a sort of very extreme about this. The issue about cheese is mostly is that what we called Ranon which is Emo buy a product that holds the cheese together and cheese is not under rabbinic supervision. And our rabbinical summary conservative rabbi said that the basis it on a thousand year old statement by a great rabbi who call somebody the (foreign language), if does not looks more taster. You feel like the originally, if degraded biologically to such an extend in the chemical process of making a food item and no longer is the original food item and it is okay, and we can consider that about radit and we do not consider it to be an animal by product anymore.
So, we need any kind of cheese that happens to be that was conservative Jewish, they went to a think serves only rabbinicly supervise cheese, but everybody feels kind of believing, and I eat any kind of cheese. One, this is not little a visible meat in there, and let us see the cheese like that and basically that is the issue. Then I got a question about Jewish status. So we want to know if the orthodox you are forming is conservative Jewish as Jews, and as first in quickly point it up if they own accept conservative reform conversions by a large.
Okay so those people converted by me or another conservative rabbi reform rabbi, we constructions rabbi, those people with nothing considered Jewish by orthodox which I think is a very bad a horrible but that is what they do in general. Maybe some exceptions which a huge issue know about Israel and about here, it does not affect here to much because there are such strong non orthodox and infer constructions. But somebody born to a Jewish mother, is Jew considered Jewish by everybody they just not be considered to be a Mitzvah observing Jews. It they are good Jews in quote and cloth, but they definite will be considered Jewish.
When I find a question, I got is read was about Aremiac. Somebody ask me if what it look like. The Aremiac we used like in the Talmud has Hebrew letter. Now, someone is speaking American and understands someone speaking Hebrew, the Aremiac of the Talmud is very similar to a lot of Hebrew words. It might be tough to understand, but definitely there is a lot of similarity in words and few those differences. And today, the Aremiac is use in our prayer so a little bit. The Yif Kadal, the e Kadash a prayers of Aremiac and (foreign language) Aremiac (foreign language) are few prayers that we do in our service Aremiac. So those are somebody asks the rabbi questions. If you have a question that you would like to ask to be answered on a video and a subsequent addition those e-mail rabbi@ehnt.org and I will try give you and answer from by prospective. Shalom!
