Daddy Troy: Hey! Welcome back to Dad Labs, I am Daddy Troy here with Laura from Jazwares. So it's the time to play the holiday showcase here in New York City, and you know the falls are really being season for kids movies. I am so excited. One of them is Astro Boy, other one is Planet 51. And Jazwares has some action figure toys, they are going to tell us all about.
Laura Zebersky: So Astro Boy releases on October 20th nationwide in theatres. Astro Boy is the iconic Japanese anime figure. First launched in the 1960s in Japan.
Daddy Troy: It's been there a long time.
Laura Zebersky: Yeah. So what we have done is developed our line that's true to the fans using iconic Astro Boy, which is how he initially appeared in his Japanese form, and then, and he is updated for modern day American fans.
Daddy Troy: So you have an old school Astro Boy and new school Astro Boy?
Laura Zebersky: A new school, right. So you can see him in his new outfits and he is a boy who is a robot and he can fly and he shoots cannons, and he has butt weapons and lots of cool things.
Daddy Troy: In the trailer, he goes, "I've got weapons in my butt." That's pretty funny.
Laura Zebersky: Yeah.
Daddy Troy: And this guy lights up right here, doesn't he?
Laura Zebersky: Exactly. So you press the button here. And you can see, and this focuses at his core power. And --
Daddy Troy: And you guys -- what else in the line what do you guys have in terms of the Astro Boy line?
Laura Zebersky: So what we have, this is a ten inch figure, we also have the six inch figures with electronic, they light up. Three and three quarter inch figures. We'll have a plush, and we also have the core balls, which they're bouncing balls that light up like the core.
Daddy Troy: I love it. Okay, let's talk about Planet 51.
Laura Zebersky: Yes, this is a Thanksgiving movie.
Daddy Troy: And Astro Boy comes out in October.
Laura Zebersky: Yes, October 23rd.
Daddy Troy: So this is a Thanksgiving movie, Planet 51. What all do you have in this one?
Laura Zebersky: So Planet 51 line is both figure and vehicle intensive. We have got 3 inch figures, we have got little larger figures about 6 inch and we have lot of vehicles. So you can put your figures in your vehicles, there is lot of cool vehicles in the movie.
Daddy Troy: And for the parents that don't know, the premise of this movie is an astronaut goes to another planet, he is viewed as the alien, and he has to escape and come back home.
Laura Zebersky: Exactly.
Daddy Troy: And the planet's full of life that we would call aliens.
Laura Zebersky: Yeah, they are full of aliens but they think it's like the 1950s. So they live like the 1950s of America. So great music.
Daddy Troy: Yeah, and I am sure if if you've gone to see any movies with your kids, you know that the trailer's already out for this.
Laura Zebersky: Yes. And Dwayne Johnson is the lead in this movie. He plays the astronaut.
Daddy Troy: Oh super! Great. So Astro Boy in October, Planet 51 in November. Thanks so much Laura. I Appreciate it.
Laura Zebersky: Thank you. So nice meeting you. Thanks.
