At-Home Sleep Apnea Test Dr. Travis Stork: We know sleeping problems are so very common. And in some cases they can lead to some serious health problems or may even reflect health problems. And our very down Dr. Sears was concerned about his sleeping patterns. So we sent him to do some investigating. Dr. Jim Sears: I've been told that I snore really, really loudly. I'm actually worried that I might have something called obstructive sleep apnea. It’s actually a pretty serious problem. Normally I’d have to go to a sleep center to get a full sleep study done but thanks to this equipment, I can do it at home. This is my third night of the test, tomorrow morning I’m going to send this in and get the results. Dr. Andrew Ordon: Come on stress up dude. Dr. Jim Sears: Wow, the magic of television. Dr. Travis Stork: So tell us about this system, Jimbo. Dr. Jim Sears: So normally you would go to a sleep center where you’re sleeping in a strange bed. You’re all hooked up to all different wires on head and you know some people are just afraid to going to do that. This is cool, you take this home and you just hook it up like you saw on the video. Dr. Travis Stork: And you slept normally would you say? Dr. Jim Sears: I slept really well with this. And I do have a little bit of obstructive sleep apnea but it’s mild. So it’s -- this should go away with just a little bit of weight loss. Dr. Travis Stork: And this should always be done in conjunction with a physician and joining us on the phone to talk more about this from Boca Raton, Florida is another Jim who also tried this out so Jim welcome to the show. Jim: If you're like me, you're sleeping through the night, you wake up and you feel like you never slept you owe it to yourself to try this new technology. I was really amazed with the simplicity I'm kind of a simple guy. I like things really simple and it works. It’s pretty phenomenal and I was very impressed.
