Managing your blood sugar has a lot to do with what you eat and how much you eat. Preparing well balanced meal is a great way to start making small steps to help you successfully manage your blood sugar levels. When thinking about your meal you want your plate to be about half vegetables, a quarter proteins and a quarter whole grain.
A great small step to take is to reduce the amount of saturated fat in your diet. Lean sources of protein like white meat poultry are delicious and do not contain as much saturated fat as red meat.
