Baby Animals in Tanzania

Narrator: Back in Southern Serengeti, life goes on as wildebeest, zebra and gazelle continue to wait for the arrival of the rains which will bring green grass and a signal to start cubing. And then the baby is still wet down there. And then the mother’s trying to stimulate him. The thing is for this herbivores, the animals who are eating grass they are very sharp, so once they give birth just to give the babies about ten to fifteen minutes and then the baby could wake up and could be able to run as fast as the mother’s do. So what we are looking here just give a few minutes for the babies, and then we will see the babies waking up and otherwise if doesn’t the baby do anything, or the baby doesn’t be active within those minutes the mother will leave that, and that we can say that the nature will take place. The hyenas or somebody else might come here and take the babies running away with it. This is somehow very dangerous because It’s lucky for this wildebeest there is no hyenas or any cats just around here, but somehow if there is any hyenas, hyenas will try to take this baby wildebeest but they got lucky nobody is around here and then he give birth. That’s why the others give birth during the February and then in a big number of the wildebeest, so everywhere you find them giving birth, and then hyenas getting first, so they want everything, so you find that the end of the day they’re miss anything there, and then the wildebeest get the chance to survive. So this happens maybe these guys was real at the end point to hold it so no longer can hold it and then try to give birth. Just give him a minute and then you will see how the babies will wake up. You know the babies is going to the tips in order to get some milk but the mother’s stop him until he get enough and become strong enough and then he can go for the milk. Otherwise, you might milk him and then you find that it’s becoming full and could be more heavy to wake up again to leave and to go with the mother. So mother also should like you’ve got a trick also like challenging the babies to make it to more profitable before going to start to milking. The babies just use to be stopped not to milk once you have been born and then the mother use like trying to attract you would bring the bell close to you. Maybe you’ll feel like you she want to give you a milk and wherever but as she will took you slowly, as you can see that now they are almost a hundred meters from where we were use to be with them. And it’s like a training the babies to make sure that those wheezing, or even if it take longer not be done half an hour and the baby should be able to run, running from the predators and everything, then by that time, you may give the chance for the babies to get milk. So the others are just going there to help the mother take care for the babies, protecting, but somehow the mother use to be carefully once they just give birth because you have to make sure that your babies getting your instinct so in order not be confuse with the other wildebeest. Narrator: Just a few miles away in a couple of days later a new born zebra. Stanford Milinga: Family you see here they have all; they have to wait for the fellow. Female: So that’s a new zebra? Stanford Milinga: Yeah, that’s a very new born, because he just trying to stand up, and see the other two just watching. Somehow, you can see that they of the same family, so they cannot leave then left the fellows here while the baby is not yet can be able is running with them. Sop they have to take some few minutes before the baby gaining and can be able to run with the mothers. That’s a very new born. You can see even the embryo from the mother’s not yet dropping down, and then we talk it before that this animals who are eating grass what they need just between twenty minutes once they born to get momentum or to be able to run with their mothers. The things is even if you just finding them before those minutes being collect, you can find that the mother are not allowed the babies to mess coz f you give him a milk. You’ll be full and then heavy again to start walking and everything, so make it like challenging, so the baby will look for the milk and then the mama try to turn over and over and over till the baby getting more, becoming more perfect in walking and everything and can be able to march with the mother.
